Casey Legler is first and to date only female model with exclusively men’s work.
Several facts about purposeful Casey:
Fact 1. The former athlete, who grew up in a family of professional basketball. From an early age she started to practice swimming, and in her 19 years she had been already in the Olympic team.
In spite of the great strides, sport had never attracted her, and at age 21 she stopped swimming!
Fact 2. After leaving sport Casey Legler was working in the supermarket, studied architecture, design, law and medicine in different education institutions. In later years she moved to New York and took up art. At 35 years, thanks to her friend the photographer Cass Bird, who showed several photographs of her in a modeling agency, Casey Legler became the model of the Ford agency, but it was not an ordinary contract.
“Being the first woman in the men’s division is not too surprised – says Casey. – I just took this job. It’s so obvious!”

The model was also the face of the brand AllSaints, she appeared in an advertising campaign for a brand of women’s and men’s collections.
Fact 3. Casey wants to play a role of James Bond.
From the very childhood she liked to grow into different roles. Once she wanted to play the male role. “The director chose a boy, and I was given the role of 35-year-old hypersexual woman. Since then, I quit acting”, said the model.
Now she would like to try the male role one more time. And her main goal is to be the first woman to play the role of James Bond. Not the girl of Bond but the Agent 007.
Fact 4. Casey Legler is fond of tattoos. But one has a special meaning for her. On her neck she has a word Leviathan. Leviathan is a sea monster, which is mentioned in the Bible and is sometimes associated with the forces of evil.
For Casey it means that world is divided into good and bad. It is very important not to lose yourself in this battle.
Fact 5. Casey Legler is revolutionary by nature. For her, it is important not just to be a model with an unusual job, but also point the way to others who feel differently, whether it is feminine boy, girl with overweight or an elderly woman.
“This is not a trend. You have to understand why this is happening. Fashion will do what must do, but the fact that women do not always look like a woman is the fact of common knowledge. And the best is to be yourself!”
